WALGREEN AGENCY Tryon Branch Honored The employees of the Tryon branch of the Duke Power Co., were given a steak dinner last Thursday night at Oak Hall as a prize for second place in a sales campaign conducted last June and July. Only Shelby was ahead of the Tryon branch in this division. Manager K. A. Bowen presided at the dinner, and the speakers included Merchandising and Sales Manager Roy Palmer and Ap ’iL'ince Supervisor Charles Stone, of Charlotte, and Walter rafvve of the Tryon office. Mr. Palmer and Mr. Stone com mended the Tryon staff members on their good work and their spii'it of service to the public in general. Mr. Palmer said when you can make life easier, more comfortable and happier for others it gives one a great feeling of satisfaction.
